FAQs
Learn more about the Staking Rewards Infra Ratings (formerly VSP)
What are the Staking Rewards Infra Ratings?
The Staking Rewards Infra Ratings (formerly Verified Staking Provider - VSP) is an independent due diligence framework assessing staking infrastructure providers across:
Business Operations
Security Setup
Operational Reliability
Providers that meet predefined verification standards receive a verified status and rating (AAA–D).
The framework increases transparency and standardization in validator evaluation, enabling institutional and professional delegators to make informed allocation decisions.
If you are ready to get your Staking Provider verified, you can submit the application form.
What does the Infra Rating assess?
Infra Ratings evaluate three core pillars:
Security Setup
Key management architecture, infrastructure design, internal controls, incident response procedures, and operational resilience.
Reliability
Historical uptime, slashing history, validator performance, and operational consistency.
Business Operations
Legal structure, delegator protection, sustainability of operations, governance processes, and transparency practices.
Additional ecosystem contributions are reflected separately and do not influence the core rating.
How is the rating structured?
Each provider receives a rating:
AAA – Exceeds verification standards
AA – Strongly meets standards
A – Meets standards
B – Partially meets standards
C – Fails to meet multiple standards
D – High operational risk
Only providers rated A or above qualify for verified status.
How is this different from on-chain metrics?
On-chain data reflects validator performance only.
Infra Ratings assess operational and structural risks that are not visible on-chain, including:
Internal security practices
Business continuity planning
Governance structure
Organizational maturity
These factors materially affect counterparty and operational risk.
Why should a staking provider apply for Infra Ratings?
Infra Ratings provide:
Independent credibility An external, structured assessment of operational standards.
Differentiation Clear positioning versus non-verified providers.
Institutional visibility Improved discoverability among foundations, custodians, and professional allocators who prioritize risk transparency.
Standardization Alignment with emerging industry best practices.
Top-of-funnel exposure Visibility through Staking Rewards’ organic traffic and data platform.
For providers targeting institutional mandates, verification strengthens trust signaling in a competitive validator landscape.
If you are ready to get your Staking Provider verified, you can submit the application form.
Does verification improve delegation flow?
Infra Ratings are a trust and transparency framework - not a marketing guarantee.
Delegation decisions are influenced by multiple factors including:
Network performance
Foundation relationships
Geographic distribution
Additional services
However, verified status supports due diligence processes and removes friction in institutional validator selection.
Is there a conflict of interest?
No.
Staking Rewards does not operate validators and does not compete with staking providers.
This structural neutrality allows for standardized, cross-provider assessment without allocation bias.

How often are providers reassessed?
Verified providers are reassessed annually.
Material operational changes must be disclosed. Failure to maintain standards may result in rating downgrade or removal of verified status.
Does verification guarantee performance or safety?
No.
Infra Ratings are a due diligence reference framework. They do not provide insurance or performance guarantees.
Delegators remain responsible for independent risk assessment.
Is this an audit?
No.
Infra Ratings are structured due diligence assessments. They do not include penetration testing or direct infrastructure audits.
Can I access confidential documentation?
