rETH (Rocket Pool)
Rocket Pool is an innovative ETH Proof of Stake Protocol designed to be community-owned, decentralized, and trustless. It is specifically built to facilitate staking in Ethereum and has undergone several successful public betas since its conception in late 2016.
The protocol caters to two main user groups. The first group consists of users who want to participate in tokenized staking using rETH, which requires as little as 0.01 ETH. The second group comprises users who want to stake ETH and run a node within the network, allowing them to generate a higher return on investment (ROI) compared to staking outside of the protocol, thanks to earned commissions.
The underlying principle of Rocket Pool is to ensure the network's independence from any single party, aligning with the core principles of Ethereum and ETH itself. This mindset has guided Rocket Pool's evolution at every stage of its development
