🌊Quicksilver SRB

Learn how Quicksilver staking rewards are calculated. QCKSRB uses the Cosmos SDK formula with annual provisions, fees, community tax, and staked QCK.

QCKSRB is a benchmark representing the mean, annualized staking rate across all active Quicksilver validators.

QCKSRB is calculated and published by Staking Rewards via the Quicksilver Profile and Data API.

TL;DR: Quicksilver staking rewards follow the Cosmos SDK formula (ATOMSRB): annual provisions plus annualized fees, minus community tax, divided by total staked QCK tokens. Validator-level rates factor in performance and commission.

The calculations are derived from the ATOMSRB documentation, serving as the foundational reference to ensure the accuracy of relevant metrics.

Formula Key
Metric Name
Description

dp

Distribution Proportion

Distribution Proportion is the staking emissions percentage, currently set to 80%.

ap

Annual Provisions

The total amount of tokens emitted per year.

st

Staked Tokens

The total number of tokens bonded with active, non-jailed validators.

QCK Validator Staking Rewards Rate: QCKSRB(v)

Staking Rewards calculates the QCKSRB for each validator based on their individual performance and commission rate.

QCKSRB(v)=ATOMSRB(v)QCKSRB(v) = ATOMSRB(v)

QCK Real Reward Rate: QCKSRB^R

The real reward rate calculates the QCKSRB adjusted for inflation in the network.

QCKSRBR=ATOMSRBRQCKSRB^R = ATOMSRB^R

Inflation Rate Behavior

  • Quicksilver's inflation is community-governed, allowing votes on total inflation and emission allocation. In the first year, inflation is set at 25%, decreasing by 25% annually, with a maximum supply of 400M QCK before inflation reaches zero.

Other Quicksilver metrics calculated by Staking Rewards

Metric
Description

Delegated Tokens

The number of tokens delegated to validators.

Self Staked Tokens

The number of tokens staked by validators directly.

Staking Wallets

This metric refers to the total quantity of distinct delegations made. It doesn't distinguish based on unique delegator addresses and excludes considerations of any minimum delegation thresholds.
